Methodological strategies and intercultural practices in basic education
Abstract
The globalized world that we live in today makes all societies multicultural and Ecuador is no exception, so it is necessary to train the new generations to live with diversity; From this precept arises the present work that seeks to verify the methodological strategies used by basic education teachers to work on interculturality among their students. The study carried out in Cuenca-Ecuador belongs to a quantitative research and used the survey to obtain information from the ten participating teachers. The results analyzed with the SPSS showed that the majority of teachers surveyed do not give the necessary importance to interculturality, due to the lack of knowledge of methodologies to apply them in the classroom. For this reason, a didactic guide is proposed with methodological suggestions addressed to teachers, to put interculturality into practice in the classroom.
