Hereditary Angioedema (HAE) and rare or orphan diseases in Ecuador

Abstract

The purpose of the development of this article was to demonstrate the need to include the pathology called Hereditary Angioedema within the list of diseases classified as serious / catastrophic and rare / orphan of high complexity issued by the services that make up the national health rectory of Ecuador. For which it was approached from the problem of violation of rights, consequently, it was necessary to implement a plan that allows to publicize the meaning of the disease, the current environment at the national and international level, and finally through the legal recognition of the right health, it was established that the pathology meets the criteria for inclusion.
