Research skills among college students. A systematic review
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to analyze research skills among college students through a systematic review. Methodologically, the study consisted of a qualitative, documentary-based investigation, conducted using techniques such as systematic review and content analysis, which were supplemented by analysis matrices and data sheets as instruments. The PRISMA methodology was also employed. The results highlighted key factors such as autonomy, the promotion of scientific knowledge, innovation, and academic composition, among others, which have contributed to optimizing students’ performance in their role as researchers. In conclusion, it was found that the development of research skills must be addressed within the university context, as it has led to students’ active participation and their holistic education from a social, dynamic, critical, and reflective perspective.
