Keywords: Human resource management, self-management, patients with HIV, health services, (Thesaurus - UNESCO).

Abstract

The objective of this study was to analyze human resource management and self-management among HIV patients in healthcare settings through a systematic review. The methodology was based on a qualitative and documentary study, using systematic review and content analysis as techniques, and data collection forms and analysis matrices as instruments. In addition, the PRISMA statement was used to identify 15 articles from the following databases: Scopus, Scielo, and Web of Science (WoS). The results focus on the development of policies and strategies to optimize human resource management, healthcare delivery, and the well-being of healthcare professionals. Therefore, it is concluded that professionals responsible for treating people with HIV should focus on their self-care, their moral well-being, and the maintenance of their quality of life.
