El soporte familiar en el adulto mayor: Una revisión bibliométrica

Resumen
El envejecimiento poblacional global plantea desafíos significativos, destacando el soporte familiar como determinante clave para el bienestar y calidad de vida de las personas mayores. En este sentido, el propósito de esta investigación fue mapear tendencias, autores clave, colaboraciones y brechas en la literatura sobre apoyo familiar en personas mayores mediante una revisión bibliométrica. Para ello, se empleó un enfoque descriptivo y longitudinal no experimental, analizando 376 documentos de Scopus (1984-2025) mediante ecuaciones booleanas, VOSviewer para visualizaciones de redes de coocurrencia y Bibliometrix para indicadores bibliométricos. Los principales hallazgos revelan un crecimiento anual del 8.56%, con un predominio de perspectivas biomédicas y colaboraciones en Asia-Pacífico y Norteamérica, con brechas en regiones subrepresentadas como América Latina y África. De esta forma, se subraya la necesidad de plantear y llevar a cabo políticas que fortalezcan el apoyo familiar para promover un envejecimiento saludable y equitativo en las personas mayores
