Exploitation of Yasuní (Ecuador) and its impact on the rights of future generations
Abstract
The general objective of the research was to carry out a legal analysis of the exploitation of Yasuní (Ecuador) and its impact on the rights of future generations. The method used in the research was based on a qualitative approach, using the collection and analysis of a documentary-bibliographic typology. Reviewing texts, refereed works, among others, which contributed to the development of the state of the art. The interview technique was applied to former workers of companies that extract oil from Yasuní. The following conclusion was reached: The extraction of oil in Yasuní would favor the economy of the territory and would guarantee the rights of future generations to live well. Furthermore, as previously mentioned, in these processes of oil extraction there is no environmental damage as these companies have environmental licenses that are controlled for a certain period of time by the Ministry of the Environment.
