Natural resources as a transversal axis for the curricular greening in basic primary education
Abstract
The objective of this research was focused the implementation of a pedagogical plan based on natural resources as transversal axes for curricular greening in basic education in Colombia. The methodology adopted was a qualitative approach, based on the action-research design. Techniques such as student interviews, group discussions with teachers and documentary review were used. Among the results, it was evidenced that in the fourth grade the greening of the curriculum is very limited. Likewise, the students' knowledge about natural resources is scarce, which hinders the creation of habits for environmental sustainability. Finally, it is concluded that the pedagogical plan was an effective tool for the promotion of environmental education and allowed the greening of the curriculum and the construction of meaningful learning.
